Dory is 1-1.5 years old female spayed honorary Border Collie. Dory was DNA tested and she came back as several different breeds of dog including a German Shepherd Dog. Which explains her super cute long pricked ears. She is up to date on vaccines and microchipped as well. Dory is very sweet and loves everyone. She also does well with most other dogs and cats. Dory is the counter police and when the cat jumps on the counter Dory tires to nudge the cat until he jumps down and then licks him. Dory is now house broke and rings the bells I have on my door to tell me she has to potty. She is also learning the kennel is a safe place. She will go in her kennel but will whine for a few minutes before she goes to sleep when you shut her in it for the night. Dory has been left out of her kennel overnight and will sometimes do great but if not given enough exercise or is left alone for too long she will find ways to entertain herself. The longer Dory is here and the more she gets into a routine the better she behaves. She’s made so much progress over the past month I have had her that I feel she’s ready to find her forever.
Dory has a decent amount of energy so I’m looking for someone that wants to take a dog places and do stuff with a dog like running, training or hiking etc. Dory rides well in a car and is pretty content with anything you do as long as she gets to go with. Most of the day she follows me around where ever I go checking things out. Playing fetch is also one of her favorite things to do but she only brings the ball back about 50 percent of the time. More training with recall will fix that. She’s very food motivated so she is easy to train. She’s also very smart. She has the slightest facial deformity that makes her super cute. The vet said it was something she was born with and it doesn’t seem to impact her.
