Rescues
When pursuing a dog from a rescue, be sure to investigate the organizations rescue policies. Be sure they have a trial adoption period of at least two weeks. Make sure they have vet records for the dog, that everything is up to date, the dog is neutered or spayed, heartworm negative, and, be sure they will take the dog back no matter what and no matter how long it has been since the dog was adopted. These are questions to ask before you meet the dog.
