Biography
Hello, I would like to introduce Linda, named after the singer Linda Ronstadt. She is an 8 year old purebred border collie with a long, red and white coat in North Carolina. She currently lives with another dog, a cat, and small children, although she does not like any of them. It has been years since she has snapped or bit at them, but it is obvious that they annoy her greatly. I daresay she even rolls her eyes at them.
Linda has been living in Texas on my parent’s acreage for the last 5 years without the presence of other animals or children and has been very happy. She is a natural athlete and an instinctive herder, often ‘herding’ my parents cars into the garage. She walks well on a leash, and will love anyone who has a ball or frisbee. She is a wonderful listener, however she is emotionally cold – that is, she is not a cuddler, she does not like to be pet, and she does not care greatly about who she is with. She simply wants to fetch.
Linda is getting stiff in her old years – her hips seem to be achy. She also has a dry skin condition and licks herself into raw patches. I simply cannot provide the veterinary care she requires for this. My parents kept her up to date on all vaccines and other veterinary care. They loved having Linda, however found themselves in a position where they also could not provide for her any longer.
My husband is an active duty Marine and we have 3 small children. We are expecting to move overseas in the near future and I cannot provide for Linda’s food or veterinary needs. Please let me know if you are interested in adding her to your family.
