Biography

Lucy is an adorable Border Collie mix with a great smile! She loves going on long walks and even sits politely when you leash her. Lucy enjoys traveling and is a great running partner. She loves snuggles and belly rubs. Lucy does well with sleeping on her own, with free access to her crate. She is a good listener, and overall well-behaved other than her jealousy/aggression issues. She is an anxious dog and we have given her calming medications in the past.

Lucy was originally owned by a relative that adopted her from a shelter. Our relative could no longer care for her because of how active Lucy is. Our relative had a chihuahua and three other cats that Lucy did well with. From what we have seen in the past, Lucy does well with kids. We have seen that she must warm up to younger men.

Does the dog have any medical issues?
No

Does the dog have any history of aggression such as growling, lunging, snapping, or biting any adult or child?
Yes

Please explain the aggression toward people.
Lucy has never bitten anyone in the time we have owned her. She does growl when you try to get her in her cage or take her somewhere she doesn’t want to go. Lucy doesn’t like when people are pushy and can lash out and snap at you. She is a dog that you will have to go slow with when trying new things.

Does the dog have any history of aggression toward other animals?
Yes

Please explain the aggression toward other animals.
She is very possessive and jealous of other dogs and will not do well with another dog in the home. She has started fights with our other dog when we give attention to him or try to feed them treats together.

What is the reason for re-homing?
Lucy does not do well with our other dog and is very active. She needs more activity than we are able to provide and her jealousy has been an issue.
