Biography
Meet Teddy! He is a fluffy little 4-year-old Collie mix and a real sweetheart looking for his forever home. Teddy is 40lbs, crate, and potty trained, walks well on a leash, is up-to-date on vaccines, and is microchipped.
Teddy does well with calm environments and calm dogs. He is a very sweet dog, very good with my kids. The issue is I have a neurodivergent kid, and the emotional dysregulation that he experiences is too much for Teddy.
Does the dog have any medical issues?
No
Does the dog have any history of aggression such as growling, lunging, snapping, or biting any adult or child?
No
Does the dog have any history of aggression toward other animals?
Yes
Please explain the aggression toward other animals.
When a dog barks at him he’s reactive. He’s never bitten a dog, but he will bark if they do first when we are out walking. To resolve that, Teddy is e-collar trained and comes with a lifetime training agreement with The Dog Wizard, a Charlotte-based organization.
What is the reason for re-homing?
Unfortunately, my home is not the right fit. I have neurodivergent kids and the environment isn’t suitable for him.
