Maple

This tiny girl simply melts hearts!  She is sweet and funny and beautiful, loves people and dogs and respects cats.  She is quite young – guesses range from 8 months to a year – though at 22 pounds, she’s reached her full adult size.  Maple (formerly Lyric) came to rescue after being removed from an owner who wasn’t caring for her.  She had a nasty open wound on her front leg – too large and too late to suture – so has taken some time to heal.  Now spayed, up to date on shots, heartworm negative and parasite free, she is ready to find a permanent home with a loving person or family.

Maple is just learning to walk on a leash.  She is a shy little dog with some submissive behaviors, but loves attention and affection and is truly brilliant. She’d be great fun to train!  She is enjoying her dog buddy in her current care situation and now that she’s feeling better, she’s pure puppy in her enthusiasm, playfulness and, yes, mischief.
