Dixie

Dixie

Adopted:   Dixie has found her forever home. We wish her the very best life possible.

Meet little miss Dixie. Dixie is a sweet 9 month old puppy that came to CBCR after being passed around to a few different owners. She has had one too many homes in her short jaunt on this Earth (no fault of her own) and wants nothing more than to find her people to love her as much as she loves them. She is a bit timid towards new people and men. However, once she warms up and realizes she’s not being left she is a sweetheart and will crawl into a lap that will allow it.

Dixie does well with other dogs. She is a very active little one and would make a wonderful running partner, trail buddy, or even agility training. She wants to please her people. She is house trained, and crate trained. She does have a bit of separation anxiety, which is likely due to a fear of being left again. She will sleep quietly in her crate as long as her people/pack are in eye sight. She is quiet and not destructive, other than to her own toys.

Don’t let her petite 25lb frame fool you, she is bursting with personality. She has mastered a few commands including, sit, down, leave it, and drop it. She’s a bit scared of children and their quick movements, due to this she will not be re-homed to a family with small children. With time, patience and a lot of love Dixie will make for an incredible dog.
